1. The Second Chance Camp for youth & Adolescent

The Second Chance Camp was a National Program for youth and Adolescent Development (NPYAD) Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India Dept. of Youth Affairs, New Delhi sanctioned vide no. F.37-28/2014-dated 1st July, 2014. The duration of the Project covered from 30/12/2014 to 30/4/2015 (4 Months).
The 4 months program consisted of :

  • Counseling Session
  • Health Check – up
  • Training to Teachers by Resource person
  • Physical Skill Training and Upgradation of Skill
    • Skill Training on Computer – Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
    • Jute Handicraft
    • Mushroom Cultivation
    • Floriculture & Nursery Raising
    • Vermi compost & Organic Farming
    • Vegetable/Fruit Preservation
    • Apiculture & Honey Harvesting
    • Training on Cane & Bamboo (Handicrafts)
    • Training on Goatery Farming, Piggery Farming, Poultry Farming with Composite Farming
  • Exposer Visit
    • Veterinary Science College
    • Science Museum
    • Art fed Gallery, Pragjyoti& NHHDC Emporium
    • Balaji Temple

  • Indian System of Medicine treatment & way of approach,
  • Global warming- Causes, prevention & related health issues & impact,
  • HIV AIDS, STD,
  • Adolescent Reproductive Sexual Health (ARSH)
  • Mental illness- Definition characteristics, Causes, Measures
  • Information about some of the govt. policies – aims & objective,
  • Social evils – Dowry, child marriage, rape, trafficking,
  • Nutrition & health- importance in adolescent life,
  • Sanitation & Health – importance & relation, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The Training of ASHAs, AWW etc where the orientation took place on the following topics:

  • Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and its major four key points.
  • Importance of Safe drinking water, Health, Hygiene, Sanitation and WATSAN issues and awareness.
  • Water Borne Diseases,
  • Roles and Responsibility of ASHA & AWW & Community.
  • Display of documentary films on WATSAN issues.
  • Training on need of Hand Washing and hygiene and Physical demonstration.
  • Discussion on different component of water testing
  • Demonstration on FTK in Drinking Water and analysis.
  • Community mobilsation and sustainability in WATSAN Program with emphasis on incentives to the worker, poor sanitation and quality health.
Training to Students & Teachers where the programs took place on the following topics:
  • Drawing competition
  • Quiz Competition
  • Orientation on Importance of Safe drinking water, Health, Hygiene, Sanitation and WATSAN issues and awareness.
  • Display of documentary films on WATSAN issues.
  • Demonstration of HAND Washing.
  • Demonstration on FTK in Drinking Water and analysis.
